COURSE DESCRIPTION
Interior design is a perfect blend of art and science. This course deals with the beautification and modification of any building or pre-built structure. It means the interior designer’s work starts after the construction work gets completed. An interior design student uses scientific theories and concepts to come up with artistic work in real estate space. They use their creativity to enhance the interiors of a structure and come up with various plans and ideas that are unique and creative. It is a practice related to anything that is found inside a space - walls, windows, doors, textures, lighting, furnishings and furniture. All these elements are used by interior designers to develop a functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing space for a building's user.

ASSESSMENTS
- All units are assessed by examination or written assignments.
- To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. Judgement that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the Assessor.
- The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the judgement of the learners’ overall achievement has been arrived at.
