COURSE DESCRIPTION

Early childhood education, also known as nursery education, is one of the most important domain of education hierarchy because it is concerned with children below the age of six years. Its main objective is to upgrade the knowledge level of the tiny tots along with enhancing their social skills. The early years of child development from birth to eight years requires utmost care for their overall development. Children learn how to interact with others including parents, teachers and peers. A specially curated curriculum & carefully planned pedagogy are also required to ensure that important learning areas are covered, taking care of all the developmental needs of the young child. It aims at the holistic development of a child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs in order to build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and well being.

ASSESSMENTS
  • All units are assessed by examination or written assignments.
  • To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.
  • Judgement that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the Assessor.
  • The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the judgement of the learners’ overall achievement has been arrived at.
