COURSE DESCRIPTION
This Diploma Program in Nutrition covers the core elements in Health and Wellness: Nutritional evaluation and advice; Nutrition and health science; Nutritional solutions in human development, health and fitness; and Application of nutritional science. A full one-year diploma program. Students who may want to take a 6-month specially designed curriculum may earn a Certificate in Health and Wellness, Child Nutrition, or Sports Nutrition.

Students in this program will learn how to make improvements to individuals and communities and will lead to a career, as nutritionists, that makes a real difference to people’s lives. Topics covered include food, nutrition, and health which are fundamental to the people’s well-being.

In this program, students will gain a thorough understanding of how nutrition impacts health. They will explore the full spectrum of human anatomy, physiology and chemistry, and how they relate to human nutrition, digestion, and metabolism.

TUTORIALS/SEMINARS
During the tutorials or seminars, the student will work on case studies and discuss various strategies and techniques. This course is delivered fully online, allowing students to study anywhere, anytime. Seminars or lectures may be provided “on-site” with our partners, as may be deemed necessary.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
This course requires a properly maintained computer with high-speed internet access and an up-to-date web browser (such as Chrome or Firefox). The student must be able to communicate with the instructor via email.

This course uses an asynchronous mode and students are provided with tiered video and self-guided learning modules. Live online interaction with the instructor can be arranged. The “on-site” classroom works on standard computers and instructor-led exercises.

Most course lectures may be viewed on mobile devices, but in some cases, assignments and quizzes must be completed on a desktop or laptop computer.
END OF COURSE REQUIREMENTS
In fulfillment of the course, students are required to take the final examination, as well as an end-of-course project or research paper.
